That moment when such depressed song like adele’s ‘someone like you’ always echoing in your head just because your friend sang it earlier was just gloom my mood a bit. :p
So yesterday there was this Movember event held for charity at Thiess bar, Soroako. The guys (mostly expats) grooming their moustache and beards the whole month of November and at the end of the month they will just gather and vote for several categories of best ‘mo’ (they try to shave theirs in style to get the votes). A vote cost you IDR 10,000 and you can vote more than once. The money collected is going to be donated to the fire victims (happened awhile ago in Soroako). This is another gathering event which is new for me, but again, quite interesting. Creative idea of doing good purpose.
Movember actually a pretty world-wide activity held every year. It started 2003 in Australia before getting into USA at 2005 (thanks, Google). Eventually, we don’t always have to organised gala dinner or expensive concerts to raise money whilst having fun at the same time. :)
Back to why Adele’s song echoing in my head. Today my project held this dinner gathering (and exchange gift) in Wet Monkey, the dorm’s bar. We’re trying to gather, relax, and having a little bit fun without having to spend much budget. Dara, a friend of mine sang this particular song. I love Adele and her voice. She got this charismatic story-teller voice which is so amazing and persuasive.
I’m missing someone now. Not that I can do much about it. Being independent with your feeling and acts require me quite an effort.
I’m sleepy, it’s past midnight already. Gonna go sleep soon
